As life-long musicians, we’ve seen firsthand that music has the power to inspire creativity, ignite passion, and bring communities closer. That’s why we — Adrian, Harold, and Jacob — founded Aries Music Group in 2024, to share the joy, depth, and connection of live music with San Diego, the city we proudly call home.
We have each had the privilege of refining our musical craft at esteemed institutions including the Cleveland Institute of Music and Vanderbilt University, under the guidance of highly accomplished musical professionals. As we grew together as musicians and close friends, we instinctively became drawn to the idea of coming together to share the power of music with our community.
Today, we are proud to be Aries Music Group, comprised of a dynamic core quartet and vibrant network of talented musicians with San Diego roots. We are thrilled to dedicate our time to crafting engaging live music for events, weddings, stages, classrooms, and nonprofit programs across the county.
At the heart of it all is our commitment to community-building. Whether collaborating with our clients or volunteering to engage young musicians, we pride ourselves in always leading with artistry, approachability, and infectious passion. When hearing our music, we hope you too will be moved by the emotion and purpose infused into each note.
Let’s connect, create, and enjoy the power of music together!
Adrian began honing his craft as a violinist at just 8-years-old, earning him membership in the San Diego Youth Symphony where he played alongside Harold. As a teen, he attended La Jolla Country Day School and served as Concertmaster of the school orchestra. He later transferred to Interlochen School for the Arts in Traverse City, Michigan and played in the chamber music ensemble with Jacob. After graduating from Interlochen, Adrian studied with Cornelia Heard at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music and earned a bachelor’s degree in violin performance. Eager to further craft his musical prowess, Adrian went on to attend the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he earned a master’s degree in Violin Performance under the tutelage of Dr. Olga Kaler. Since then, Adrian has developed an impressive career as a performance violinist, playing for esteemed institutions including The Old Globe and La Jolla Playhouse, as well as for popular groups like the Eagles. He has also poured his talent into supporting his community, volunteering to hone young musicians’ education through a variety of nonprofit organizations and schools including Villa Musica, W.O. Smith School, and the Nashville Symphony.
Harold was raised with Korean-American cultural roots in San Diego, California. He proudly performs on a 1949 Helmuth Ellersieck violin that originally belonged to his grandfather, Harold Reeves Sr., an amateur violinist and WWII Veteran. Harold developed his passion for violin from an early age, playing in the San Diego Youth Symphony alongside Adrian and crafting his musical prowess under the tutelage of Jeff Thayer, Michael Tseitlin, Rebekah Yoon, and Hernan Constantino. He went on to achieve a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the Eastman School of Music and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. His mentors include Mikhail Kopelman, Ilya Kaler, Olga Kaler, and Philip Setzer. Formerly associated with Lincoln Center Stage and RWS Entertainment in New York City, Harold now serves as a founding member of the Aries Music Group. Learn more about Harold at www.haroldreeves.com.
